The Women of the Light, founded in 2002, began with a simple direction from the Lord to Marie Smith, Founder and Director, “Gather women to worship and pray”. One by one they began to come: hungry women, knowing that there had to be more to God than their families, churches, or traditions had taught them.

Monthly meetings started in Elkins, WV. in July of 2002. No two meetings are alike because it is not about an "agenda"; it is all about Jesus!

As women worship together the Spirit of the Lord hovers over them and lives are being dramatically changed in the Presence of the Lord . Many have testified to experiencing intimacy with the Lord in ways they have never known possible. The tangible presence of the Lord comes to heal, deliver, and comfort. To God be the Glory.

Monthly meetings are currently being held in three West Virginia counties, in Butler County, Pennsylvania, in Shiawassee County, Michigan and in Rotonda, Fl.We have a state, national, and international vision and dream to see every woman’s life touched and changed by the loving Presence of the Father.
